ROBAE ROBINSON

Hello,

I have been a school nurse at Rilke for the past 6 years, and with Anch. School District for 20 years, previously working at Government Hill Elementary Spanish Immersion Program, Airport Heights, and Ursa Minor. I am married, and we have two boys who attended Gov. Hill, Hanshew and graduated from
Service High School, so have been a parent in ASD as well. I have been a pediatric nurse for 30 years, graduating in 1985 from the Mary College, Bismarck ND. After graduation I had the awesome opportunity to become a nurse intern at Alaska Native Medical Center. This program prepared new nurses for
Bush hospitals, and then was sent to Kotzebue Hospital for 2 years. I continue to work at ANMC inpatient pediatrics and NICU during the summer. I have lived in Alaska most of my life since the 1970's when I was in first grade, and had my parents for teachers. They were teachers in Bush Alaska,
including Clear/Healy, Newhalen, Manokotak, and Fort Yukon, so I am very familiar with many regions around Alaska and Alaska Native people. I am excited to have been part of not one, but two language immersion programs, where children can become multilingual and supporting children with health
issues in the school setting.
