Zangle - show only recent weeks in progress reports
As the semester is progressing, many teachers wish to print progress reports, but do not wish to show all of the assignments, starting from the beginning of the term. Skipping the first serveral weeks will save paper and lower the class' carbon footprint, all of which is very good. BUT, be careful of one 'odd' default setting!
LOOK AT THE DATE RANGE!
When creating a Student Progress Report, if you select a partial range in 'Include Assignments with Due Dates', the default answer to the second question is:
Base Current Grade on Assignments Within: Included Assignment Date Range (1)
This will base the Current Grade on (in this case) two weeks worth of data. Most teachers will wish to change the answer to 'Show By Term / Dates:' (entire range) (2)
If you do that, the Current Grade shown will be that of the entire semester up until that point.
(You might also wish to change to 'BOTH Below AND Above the Assignment Listing' (3), to make the grade more visible.)
