CHOIR (GRADES 3-6)
Class Introduction:
Students in grades 3-6 are invited to join choir. The choir meets Thursday mornings, in the music room, 8:00-8:45am. We learn the basics of singing, memorize songs, and perform concerts. We perform biannual evening concerts for our parents (usually in December and May), plus we perform at school assemblies, and the Dimond Area Choir Festival. Performance opportunites may be expanded if there is student interest, transportation and chaperones available; in the past we have done a 5th Ave. Mall performance, Senior Center and Airport visits. We are open to suggestion if we can figure out the logistics of getting ourselves there. :-)Come join us! It's fun, it's free, it's fabulous. Important dates (rehearsals, concerts) are listed on the calendar.
Sign ups are held at Open House. Students who miss the signups and wish to join later in the year should see Mrs. Nilsson to ask for a permission slip for their parents to sign.

The Sand Lake Expo on Saturday, March 31st from 1-4pm is a showcase of student performance, art, academic work, and Japanese culture sponsored by Tomonokai.
