HONORS ENGLISH 2

Class Introduction:

The storyteller takes what he tells from experience, his own or that reported by others, and in turn makes it the experience of those listening to his tale.
- Walter Benjamin

Honors English II is a rigorous yearlong course that uses the stories known as World Literature as a starting point for writing and speaking about life and literature: from early tales told long ago to publications as recent as this year. We will examine these stories, as well as our own, in an attempt to make sense of our role in the world.

Be prepared to stay organized as we read, write, and speak together in a creative and challenging honors-level course.
