POTTERY (PERIOD 6)

Class Introduction:

Students will learn the basics of working with clay including preparation, hand-building techniques (pinch, coil, and slab), wheel-throwing techniques, surface decoration, and glazing. Students will create both functional and non-functional forms from clay. This course demands a lot of responsibility and good use of time management. Students are advised to bring a large shirt, coveralls, or apron to keep their clothes clean.
Materials Fee: $25.00 per Semester
*Includes 1 #25 bag of clay. Each additional bag: $10.00
