Welcome to Ms Gulbranson's Kindergarten home page!

I have been teaching at Kasuun since 1999. (Previously I taught in the Seattle Public School District.) All of my experience has been in the primary grades, K-2nd grades. I strongly believe that children who have a solid foundation in the basics, good social skills, supportive parents, and a love of learning will be successful in school. I love introducing them to formalized education.


Kindergarten is an exciting year. Your child will learn about letters, numbers, shapes, and problem solving. He/she will have opportunities to explore, create, and play. Your child will have p.e. three times a week, music twice a week, library and computer lab once a week, and art or health once a week.

Good communication is key to each child's success. You are the most important teacher in your child's life and you know him/her best. By working together we can help your child get the most out of his/her kindergarten experience. Your child has a communication folder that goes home each afternoon. Please check it each evening. It will contain newsletters, lunch menus, notes, permission slips, graded papers, and homework (Monday through Thursday evenings). Please place completed homework, notes, permission slips and lunch money in the folder and I will check it the following day.
