Good day,
My name is Megan Perkins. I have been teaching Physical Education, Health and Life Skills since 1989. I taught in
Southern California and Nevada before moving to Alaska in 1995. Like many other people, I came to Alaska on vacation
and never left! I love this community, the wilderness and (believe it or not) the long winters. When I am not teaching I
spend my time ocean kayaking, hiking, ice climbing, nordic and alpine skiing and gardening. During the summer I run an
outdoor/wilderness program for the Municipality of Anchorage, Youth at Risk Division.
