Autumn is a wonderful season with the leaves turning colors and the fresh
crisp air. It's also a time for new beginnings. An exciting and productive new
school year awaits us.
Here is a little background information about myself. I am a life long Alaska resident. I graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 1998. I completed the first part of
my student teaching in the small southeastern Alaska town of Sitka. I completed the second half of my student teaching in Fairbanks.
My teaching career started a few months after my graduation in the fall of 1998. I taught my first three years at Fairview Elementary which is a Title One school in the
Anchorage School District. I transferred to Northern LIghts ABC school in the summer of 2001. I am currently on my thirteenth year of teaching in the Anchorage School
District, and my tenth year at NLABC.
