Welcome to the 2018-19 school year. I'm excited about this year's curriculum, and I look forward to creating a dynamic classroom that encourages students to read and write and to discuss their ideas. The class is the first year of a two-year IB Literature class that will help students prepare both for IB assessments and AP exams. I will utilize Google classroom as my main site for posting and collecting assignments. I can invite you to join the Google classroom with a click of a button. Let me know if you would like me to do that. I want to emphasize the importance of students' independence of thought. I strongly discourage the use of outside texts, including the internet, as a substitute for reading the texts in our curriculum.
