My name is Ms.Tran and I'm an 8th grade teacher at Mears Middle School. I'm in my 7th year of teaching in the Anchorage School District. For the first five years of teaching I taught at Begich Middle School in East Anchorage . I currently
teach Study Skills, Language Arts, and work as a Special Education case manager. I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. Growing up I attended Airport Heights elementary, Turnagain elementary, Romig Middle School, and West
Anchorage High School. I received my bachelor's degree from Southern Oregon University in Anthropology and Native American Studies. I also received my Masters of Arts in Teaching with a focus in secondary Social Studies and English
as a Second Language from Southern Oregon University. I received a graduate certificate in Special Education from the University of Alaska Anchorage. My passions include working with youth, traveling, learning about different cultures,
cooking, hiking, crafting, and doing yoga.
