Our Preschool program is centered in play based-learning. Young students learn so much when they are playing!

Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum
This curriculum is used throughout the ASD preschool programs. This program is investigation based, and students will explore topics like Beginning of the year, Buildings, Roads, Bread, Pets, Balls, Music
Making, Signs, Tubes and Tunnels, Getting Ready for Kindergarten and many more. I work with the students to decide which investigation we study. It is through the Teaching strategies curriculum we have our
areas of documentation that we observe the students growth in throughout the year. There are 38 research-based objectives at the heart of the curriculum and they guide the path we take with the children in
the classroom. The objectives cover 10 areas of development and learning, including broad developmental areas, content areas, and English language acquisition.

Second Step
Second Step SEL Early Learning includes a variety of activities that help your students learn social-emotional skills. When students enter kindergarten with the self-regulation and social-emotional skills taught
with evidence-based Second Step Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), they’re set up for success. Help our littlest learners harness their energy and potential by teaching them to listen, pay attention, manage their
behavior and get along with others.

Conscious Discipline
Conscious Discipline is an evidence-based, trauma-informed approach. A Harvard study’s authors say, “Conscious Discipline provides an array of behavior management strategies and classroom structures that
teachers can use to turn everyday situations into learning opportunities.” Core methodology is based on four essential components that are scientifically and practically designed for success: Brain State Model,
Seven Powers for Conscious Adults, Creating the School Family, Seven Skills of Discipline
