Sketch/ Research Assignments
�      Sketchbooks are essential to artists and their development.
�      Each week we will focus on a specific theme and/ or genre.
�      You are expected to incorporate your sketchbook work into your portfolio.
�      Sketchbooks are due every Thursday, so you can have them back on Friday.
�      The points will vary, per assignment.

#1: Elements of Design, Sept. 3-11 (70pts)
#2: Human Figure, Sept. 12-18
#3: Plant Life, Sept. 19-25
#4: Text, Sept. 26- Oct. 2
#5: Animals, Oct. 3-9
#6: Narrative, Oct. 10-16
�      You are also expected to document and review the work of other artists.
�      You are expected to look at 5 pieces per month. At least 3 from galleries and 2 may come from independent research.
�      Feel free to go beyond expectation��sketch lots of things, get ahead of the due dates, accumulate images, and have fun with it!
�      Include an image, artist, title, medium, and critical analysis.
�      The monthly reviews are worth 10pts each.
