Production/Learning Log
•      It is apparent that the class needs a structured and disciplined approach to art.
•      The A.P. and I.B. programs expect self-directed students that can think and produce work independently.
•      You are now expected to keep track of your portfolio production and the learning process for this class.
•      You are in class for approximately 4.5 hours per week.
•      You should dedicate, at least, 3-5 hrs of work outside of class.
•      This can be as precise as you want it to be.
•      This will be due by 7:30 am every Monday.
•      You are expected to email the log to Mr. Stewart at Stewart_Mark_T@asdk12.org.
•      Mr. Stewart will respond accordingly.
•      This is information should be pasted into your sketch/research books.
•      This is worth 5 pts per week.

Example:
Monday:
•      Worked in class on an acrylic portrait painting.
•      Mr. Stewart showed me examples of post-impressionist art and discussed color usage. I learned about monochromatic, complimentary, and analogous color schemes.
Tuesday:
•      No class.
•      I read about Cezanne and looked at his work for one of my art responses.
Wednesday:
•      Continued working on my painting and started a second portrait painting.
•      The second painting will be an abstracted image with a complimentary color scheme.
Thursday:
•      Looked at both paintings and discussed different directions they could go.
•      My classmates and I discussed styles, emphasis, and application of the paint.
Friday:
•      Worked on my paintings and watched a demonstration in class.
