Project 3:drag racer with gear shift

Details

The student will design and build a vehicle that will race on a straight track. There are two tracks. The flat track is 20 feet long on tile in the hall. The second track is the mountain pass (wood structure in front of classroom).
The start and finish are based on the rcx.
You may use parts in your kit and 2 addtional rubber bands provided by roach.
Turn in a project sheet.
Fastest time gets 5 pts extra credit.
2 - 5th place get 10 pts
6 - 10 get 9
11 + get 8
If you can't finish a race you get 6 out of 10.
Two races so add scores together.
note: the gear shift must actually change the gear ratio used to drive the vehicle.
