Aztec Codex

Details

You will make an ancient Mexican book, a codex, that tells your story of how you or your family arrived in Alaska. You will use "real" Aztec drawings in your interpretation of the trip and, of course, translate it into Spanish. The first page is to be reserved for your "name" glyph.

When a child was born in the Aztec culture, the name they were given was the "day" name. Later, when they reached 7 or 8, they were named by an official name giver. Your task is to find out what your name would have been if you had been born to the Aztecs. Go to the "Links" section and click on "Aztec Calander" and enter your birthdate. Make sure you also give the Spanish meaning as well as the Nauhtl name on your Codex!

Hint: Be careful not to use the Solar Calander name or Ceremonial Calander name ... and be sure to include the number (it should be something like "7 Reed").
