Touching Spirit Bear Ch. 8, 9, and 10

This weekend students should read through chapter 10 of our class novel Touching Spirit Bear. It is only 29 more pages (roughly 30 - 45 minutes of reading) to finish Part One of the novel. Some students have asked if they may read through the novel? Yes. Students will have writing assignments on chapters through Part One of the novel on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week. It is imperative for success on the writing assignments that students are up to date with the assigned readings. This class will be finished with Part One of the novel before Thanksgiving weekend, and will have a novel-focused 5 paragraph essay due the week following Thanksgiving.
All missing work and work to be resubmitted for additional points from the beginning of the quarter is due Wednesday, November 23 (the day before Thanksgiving).
After the Touching Spirit Bear novel, students will be engaging in a research project until Winter Break.
