Touching Spirit Bear Part One

Details

Today in class students were assigned to read through the end of Part One of the class novel Touching Spirit Bear (TSB) and worked on completing short essay responses related to chapters 8, 9, and 10. Tomorrow students will be participating in a group discussion within our google classroom. I will be posting the questions and students will be responding to the questions and peer responses under my supervision. We are practicing responding online coherently, respectfully, and academically. All students must be prepared for the activity by completing the written responses and novel through at least Part One (chapter 12). The TSB essay packet will also be handed out Tuesday and we will review aspects of an argumentative essay through Wednesday. The essay will be due following Thanksgiving break, so students are not expected to work tirelessly over break, but should spend some time considering their essay.
