Touching Spirit Bear Character Analysis Essay

Details

Today students used their character trait pre-write and knowledge of thesis statements to write a thesis statement and begin their introductory paragraphs for their character analysis essays. This weekend students are expected to complete their introductory paragraph. Monday the class will outline their body paragraphs and write rough drafts. It is imperative students complete the essay parts on time so we can move forward to the high school research project.
I would like to share what I shared with the class today: I have noticed marked improvement in different skills of every student in this class. At the beginning of the year the expectation of the class was much different than what it seems to be now. Every student has improved in some area and continues to improve in their areas of need because, simply put, they are trying. I am very proud of their effort and their work with me.
