My name is Iris Morton.  I have been teaching in the Anchorage School District since 1990.  I have been working at Fire Lake Elementary for six years. 

I was born and raised in Anchorage.  I moved to Eagle River as an adult.  I love being so close to the mountains and living in this community.  I am married and have two children who attend schools here in Eagle River. 

As a family, we enjoy the outdoors.  My passion is hiking in the mountains with my husband and/or my friends.

I look forward to teaching my second graders and to working with their families to help each student meet their potential!
