Web development - Content Management Systems (CMS)

There is a whole different level of web page development beyond Komposer and Dreamweaver. These links are just put here for further consideration at some point. Note that I have no experience with any of this - I've put the links down because it is something that I (and possibly others) wish to investigate in the future.

The Fairbanks Nordic Club ski site is an example of a site managed with these tools.

Taken from their web site: "Joomla! is one of the most powerful Open Source Content Management Systems on the planet. It is used all over the world for everything from simple websites to complex corporate applications. Joomla! is easy to install, simple to manage, and reliable. "

Another, taken from their site: "Drupal.org is the official website of Drupal, an open source content management platform. Equipped with a powerful blend of features, Drupal supports a variety of websites ranging from personal weblogs to large community-driven websites."

Additional tools: "Firebug integrates with Firefox to put a wealth of development tools at your fingertips while you browse. You can edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML, and JavaScript live in any web page."
