How to log onto a networked computer

To log on, use your name (last name.first name) and your student ID number as a password. (That's a period between the two names)

• Names longer than 18 characters are truncated
• If your name has been used elsewhere in the district for someone else, you will have a 2 or 3 after yours (eg. Doe.John4)
• If you have a Jr. or II as part of your name in the official ASD record, that will be part of your name.

Problems:

• If you are a 9th grader from Goldenview and had a different password last year, it is still different this year. If you cannot remember it, see the Tech Coordinator.
• If a Macintosh says that you are logged in to another computer already, you need to see the Tech Coordinator to have yourself 'bumped off' the previous computer.
• If a Macintosh 'shakes' at you when you type in your information, it may be because the computer is not attached to the network. Please report it to your teacher.
