Hi! I was born and raised in Alaska. I started my career in Marketing, and then returned to school, receiving my MAT from the University Alaska, Anchorage. I have taught ELA at the Middle School and High School levels. I am a NEA member, an AEA Professional Development Committee member, a Learning Forward member, a PBS Learning Media Trainer, a PBS Digital Innovator 2017, and a Google Certified Educator Level 1. I am currently working toward my National Geographic Educator Certification. I live in Anchorage with my husband and three dogs. My two daughters are out of the house and on their way to becoming wonderful adults.
