7TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES---GEOGRAPHY
Class Introduction:
Parents & Students ~ we have started a weekly routine called "Daily Geography". As the name suggests, we research and answer geography questions every day in my class.Here is how the routine works:
1. We start with a new Daily Geography worksheet every Monday (students get the worksheet from my class, or can use lined paper if at home).
2. Students will research and answer 4 questions on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday (block day).
3. Students turn in their Daily Geography worksheet on Fridays. Daily worksheets are graded based on effort.
4. Friday is quiz day. Quiz questions come from the same questions that we have practiced during the week.
Students who are absent:
1. Daily Geography questions are posted online, on the "calendar" section of my web-site. Students who are absent are responsible for looking up the questions on my web-site and answering them. Students can check their answers the next day they return to school.
2. Students who miss a quiz (Fridays) are responsible for making up the quiz WITHIN 5 DAYS AFTER THEY RETURN. Students can also take the quiz one day early if it's a pre-arranged absence. Students are responsible for arranging with me to make-up quizzes.
