HIGHLY GIFTED ENGLISH 10

Class Introduction:

Welcome to HG English 10 at West High School! This class is a literature-based course in which you will study classic and modern writings, with a particular focus upon American literature. We will utilize the texts studied to provide a springboard into literary analysis, creative writing, and speaking and listening projects.

In addition to the above texts, our class will participate in Poetry Out Loud; a poetry workshop with Brave New Alaskan Voices; and a storytelling workshop with Arctic Entries--as well as a number of other projects in which students will find opportunities to engage with their community.
