Hi there, and thanks for checking out my home page! This is my fourth year teaching here at Gruening, and before this, I taught 6th and 8th grade math at Mirror Lake for seven years as well as a year in a middle school in
Montana. I graduated from U of M in 2002, GO GRIZZLIES! I was out of state for six years, from 2010 to 2016, after marrying my husband, who was in the Air Force and is now active duty in the Alaska Air National Guard. I
enjoy spending time with my husband and dog, Ava, and being in the great outdoors hiking, running, fishing, kayaking, skiing, or just taking a walk or reading a book by the water. I've traveled all over, including Kenya and
Sudan right before coming up here in the summer of 2004 and Peru in 2008, but Alaska is the most beautiful place I've ever seen. The people and scenery make for a wonderful place to live. I feel blessed to be here and a
part of such a great community and school.
