Grade 10 Social Studies - Graphics
Manipulation of graphics with computers is an important skill that is often picked up in a haphazard fashion. This unit should solidify the difference between Draw (object-oriented) manipulation and Paint (bit-mapped).
Checklist - after this session, every student should be able to:
- Create and edit vector (object-oriented) graphics
- Create and edit raster (bit-mapped) graphics
- Understand the difference between the two
- Understand the difference between gif, jpg, tif, and png files and when to use each.
- Use layers effectively
- Be able to identify file size, modify it, and recognize when it is needed. (and use dpi)
