OCR from a scanned document
If you have created a tiff document from scanning to your e-mail from a Konica copier, one way to produce a word processing document is through Microsoft Office Document Imaging.
To convert to a Word document :
- Create a tiff file of your document. Check here for using the Konica copier.
- When you have received the file from you e-mail (or however you got it), save it in your documents.
- Using a Windows computer, double-click on your file and it should open in Microsoft Office Document Imaging.
- From the Tools menu, select Send Text to Word. You can do a single page, multiple pages, or selections that you have highlighted. (you might try this option for doing columns.)
- Save the Word document when it is complete.
- Note that there are a number of other tools for annotating the document .
