File Types:

• Issues with Office 2007 file types
• If your problem is that you are trying to save from another program so that it can be read in Office, or save from Office in a universal format, go to the Universal Access page.

Word

• Word 2007 (Windows) - change your default settings
• Windows - Office 2007 - set the default file type to Office 2003 (Thanks to Missy Corbat)
• Macintosh - Office 2008 - set the default file type to Office 2004 (Thanks to Missy Corbat)
• Your Word implementation has gone 'wacko'? (old)

Appleworks:

• Appleworks AutoSave (needs to be turned off in our implementation)

Open Source

• If needing Office functionality, without buying Microsoft Office, one might consider the OpenOffice Suite
