Over-large e-mail accounts

People comment on how slow their e-mail is. There are many factors that affect this, but the one that users have most control over is the quantity of files stored in their account. Unfortunately, Entourage on the Macintosh computers is especially susceptible to this. Not only will extra-large accounts be slow for their owners, they will also cumulatively slow down the entire district system.

Hence, it is good practice to keep a clean and tidy e-mail account. I've posted a few sets of instructions:

Entourage - Macintosh

• Find the 'bloat'
• Create long-term personal storage (which does not affect the district system)
• How to delete old e-mail
• Set up an Outlook account (some Entourage users put off cleaning out their accounts because it is so slow. It is much faster to do so in Outlook. I would go to the library, set up an Outlook account and do some housecleaning :)
